About – My Work
Stone Homes
I have built beautiful stone homes and articles showcasing my work have been published in the Courier Mail and local magazines. I was awarded a Housing Industry of Australia Award (Commendation) for my stone work. In the early 1990’s I constructed our own 4 bedroom stone home at Mt Crosby. The home was built using traditional stone methods with half metre thick walls, steep pitched roof and dormer windows. Photos can be seen in The Gallery on this website.Commissions
In 2009 I was contracted to the Australian Stockman’s Hall of Fame for approximately 4 months where I constructed “The Quiet Place” – an outdoor chapel consisting of 7 freestanding random sandstone walls. I also erected a large stone slab for the “Nostalgia Poem” brass plaque. If you ever get the opportunity to visit Longreach, a visit to the Australian Stockman’s Hall of Fame is a must. I highly recommend it. In late 2011 I was commissioned to build a large sandstone seat and round stone pond for a “Remembrance Garden – Lest We Forget”. I had the pleasure of attending the opening of the Remembrance Garden at Pinjarra Hills at 11.00 am on 11.11.2011.Sculpting
Of late sculpting has become my focus and is an area I plan to move into permanently. Commissions are now being taken, so please go to the Contact Page for details
